Copper Harbor cont.

Where to even begin.... I suppose with the statement that I got stuck in Copper Harbor for 4 days.  No cellular reception, no worries.  Not only was Lake Superior magical, the people that congregated in Copper Harbor were also.  Some of the friendliest and most genuine people I have ever encountered came into my life over the course of my stay.  Of significant note was Clyde; sixty-eight and still showing the world who is boss. He pulled up with a grin on his face while I was taking down the bed and preparing to start my day; then immediately told me to hop in the passenger seat so he could show me around Copper Harbor and his property. With the tour concluded he left me to my own devices for the day and offered a small cabin on one of his fields for the remainder of my stay. After hiking out to Hunter's Point to get a look at Lake Superior in all it's grandeur I decided to ride my bike around the Harbor looking for the two (three) pastors I had met the day prior.  With no luck after 30 or so minutes I threw in the towel and headed back to the bookstore, only to crest the hill and spot the truck I had been looking for all along.  The Three Musketeers (Stooges) were inside the shop inquired as to where the guy with the Land Cruiser was.  Clyde invited us all over that evening to chew the fat - being a pot-roast and some delightful conversation.  Four wise men who's knowledge and open-mindedness will influence the rest of my road trip through life.

Mountain biking and hiking trails, fresh air, beautiful weather, and warm smiles continued to keep me occupied for the remainder.
