Somerset

After leaving Copper Harbor I had a particular destination in mind, not for its particular aesthetic or amusements.  The draw to Somerset was to add a little fire to a relationship which had not yet had the opportunity to extend into adult-hood.  It has been a long time since I have seen my cousin, Caitlyn.  A significant amount of personal growth on my end had also occurred between our last encounter.  A warm meal (including home-made beer bread) and cold beer awaited my arrival along with quite the rambunctious family.  "Blood is thicker than water." While a cliche adage it holds a volume of truth; conversation of events long past sparked dreams and a resolve in the direction that I have chosen.  A sick-day claimed and some gallivanting around a waterfall followed with a picnic also helped to soothe the soul.  Distance and time seem often seem overwhelming, however a single 36-hour encounter made it all immaterial.  Love you Caitlyn, Matt, Ruthie, and Will.
