Bryce
Camped the night in Dixie National Forest, and woke up at around 5AM quite literally freezing to death. As I said, the cold nights were a staple through the remainder of the roadtrip! Thus why I am updating so belatedly. Anywho... I met up with Rod early afternoon and we drove into Bryce Canyon to meet some friends: Brian and Natasha. This rad couple had flown from New York to Utah to pick up a camper truck and were in the process of driving it back. The three of them being professional photographers I was a little out of my element, but I learned quite a lot about how important lighting can be. Things that I knew intuitively but having the definiteion solidified always helps one extend beyond. We went for a quick hike through some astounding rock formations. There's just something about Utah! We headed our separate ways following the hike and a quick picture snap. Rod and I drove into Escalante at a fairly rapid pace to make sunset in The Devil's Playground. With the mission accomplished we headed back into town and got some gas/planned for the Grand Staircase-Escalante crossing.
