Circumnavigation

Santa Fe

I drove directly south out of Utah into Arizona.  Eventually picking up I-40 and putting on about 500 miles before calling it quits.  Before this entire road-trip began I had a conversation with a friend in Raleigh and he told me... "If you're ever in New Mexico, you've got to go to this art exhibit in Santa Fe called 'Meow Wolf'."  Being in New Mexico... I couldn't not.  Made a breakfast feast the following morning and then prepared to have my mind blown.  For the low-low price of 20$ a day pass was purchased.  How can I even describe this exhibit?  First, I'll tell you... If you're ever in New Mexico... Go to Meow Wolf.  A completely immersive exhibit, from the letters in the mailbox to the files on the computer.  A puzzling story of an interdimensional conflict is to be hashed out by exploring and decyphering clues. Not to mention the art!!!  Absolutely incredible.  Wood-working and welding, fine oil paintings, hand-blown glass and miniature sculptures.  It almost made my head hurt, almost.  I met some people inside the exhibit that said I should go check out the art district downtown, so after a quick shave and change I drove across town and pulled the bike off the racks.  Me and Basso went for a cruise around town looking at all of the art exhibits and eventually ending up at a fancy bar which I cannot remember the name of!  Had some pork-belly which could never hope to compare to North Carolina.  Up next... the wide open road.
